 GWO BST training shall enable participants to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of first aid, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate first aid to casualties. The GWO Basic Safety Training is divided into the following four modules: 

• First Aid
• Manual Handling
• Fire Awareness
• Working at Heights

The Global Wind Organisation Basic Technical Training Standard consists of three modules and an additional installation module which can be taken after certification in the mechanical module. The GWO Basic Technical Training is divided into the following four modules:

• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Hydraulics
• Installation

The ART modules shall enable participants to perform entry-type injured person rescue operations, in a WTG, using industry standard rescue equipment, rescue methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO Working at Height.

• Hub Rescue
• Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue
• Single Rescuer - Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade
• Single Rescuer - Nacelle, Tower, Basement

  This 3-day course enables technicians to manage the risks related to hazardous energies in the wind industry and act safely when in the vicinity of hazardous energies or when working on systems and equipment containing hazardous energies.

 This 2-day course is for wind industry technicians conducting slinging techniques and signaling during simple lifting operations, meaning lifts conducted based on a lifting plan or covering known hazards.
